Week 4 Game Summeries

U8-G: The U8 Girls had their first tie of the season in Saturday's game versus Agawam.  Storm came out strong and had several looks on the net.  Thanks to rock star defending by Rowan Brickley and Jovie Lynde and outstanding goal tending by Violet McColgan the team earned their first shutout of the year. Spirits were high and fun was had by all.

U10: Storm U10 rolled to a 3-1 victory over a strong Southwick team. The opening ten to fifteen minutes was dominated by Southwick with most of the game being played in Storm half of the field. But our strong defensive efforts prevented any shots on goal. Storm opened the scoring with a calm long range shot from Oliver. The second goal came via a wonderful cross by Asha where an onrushing Leo Neeper scored a tap-in at the far post. Storm closed out the half with a third from the penalty spot by Asha. Storm gave up an early and only goal in the second half, but then controlled the game to its conclusion. It was another great team effort.

U12: Saturday was another perfect day for soccer as U12 faced off against the only other undefeated team in the division, Enfield CT.  From start to finish this was an evenly matched game with many close plays.  Storm took the lead early but the game was quickly tied with a breakaway goal for Enfield.  Storm continued to dominate possession and shots on goal in the first half.  In the second half, the goals started to come with Storm climbing to a 3-1 lead.  In the last 5 minutes of the game things got interesting as Enfield scored again to make it 3-2.  Storm was able to hold on to the lead despite the heat from Enfield.  These kids are showing great resolve and it was another complete team effort.

U14-G: The U14 Girls fell in a blowout 0-11 to a very strong and undefeated Cold Spring team.

U14-B: The U14 boys fell 1-5 to South Hadley.
