COVID Update

Today, May 14th, Governor Scott lifted the mask mandate for all fully vaccinated people who have reached the two-week post-final dose milestone.  Those fully vaccinated can largely go back to business as usual.

VSA is advising clubs to have coaches sign a simple affidavit that states they have reached the two-week post-final dose of the COVID vaccine before attending trainings and games without a mask.  You may not ask to see their COVID vaccine card.

Children 12-16 are now eligible to receive the vaccine but must continue to wear masks until they have been vaccinated and reached the two-week post-vaccine date.  Players 16 and up would who have begun the vaccine process would follow the two-week post-vaccine requirement before removing their mask. It is advised that Parents should sign an affidavit stating their child has reached the two-week post-vaccine date before the player returns to train and/or play without a mask.

Anyone who is not comfortable removing their mask may continue to wear one. Players with a health condition that would prohibit them from wearing a mask may participate without one with a note from their physician.
