A Better 2021 Awaits

Dear Storm Soccer Players and Families,

It’s not an exaggeration  to describe 2020 as a most traumatic year for soccer and life as we know it. The impact of COVID-19 stifled us both mentally and physically, while creating a lot of uncertainty throughout the spring and fall seasons.

Though it was a tough year, we were able to play some soccer and welcome new players and coaches to the club. For the first time ever, Storm was able to field an all-Girls team for the travel league...we over the years have had all-girls teams in the Spring, coached by Ron Svec.

Great thanks and appreciation to the players, parents, coaches, board members, and volunteers, for being flexible during this challenging time.  We succeeded in holding practices, scrimmages and games throughout the year.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we struggled with the fall season league cancellations.  We relaunched games & scrimmages, and finally the abrupt end to an already abbreviated season. We hope you all had fun despite the circumstances. Appreciation is extended to the wider Storm family who elected to prioritize safety.

A big shout out to those of you who participated in our virtual TopYa! (now Soccer Sphere) sessions. We hope you continue to use it during the winter months and into the spring. For those who have yet to try it, you still have time. The service is available for free through the end of April, 2021. You just need to register on the website.

We wish you all a Happy New Year, and look forward to seeing you, hopefully, in the Spring and Summer.  Stay tuned!

Sincerely,
