COVID-19 Update: All Recreational Sports Suspended

On Friday, Gov. Scott "paused" recreational sports leagues, including indoor soccer programs until further notice. The Governor's COVID-19 response team will be re-evaluating this decision on a weekly basis. This decision is related to the recent, significant spike in coronavirus cases and is one of a number of decisions designed to slow the spread of the virus. The specific recreational sports language from the Governor's Order states: All recreational sports programs, including organized and/or informal recreational youth and adult league sports, practices, games and tournaments, are hereby suspended. This suspension shall not apply to school-sponsored sports activities which are subject to applicable Agency of Education Guidance. While the Governor's Order becomes effective tomorrow/Saturday at 10pm, the decision to implement its requirements immediately is in the best safety interests of the soccer community. VSA will continue to send updates as more information becomes available.
