Brattleboro Storm Calendar of Events 2021

Spring

Due to the continued threat of COVID-19 infections and the State of Vermont travel restrictions still in effect, we are unable to participate in the Roots Soccer League spring season this year. Instead, BYSA is offering the following programs.

Futsal:

Futsal and indoor clinics have been ongoing since February at the Winston Prouty Gym. The U12 and older group will continue throughout the spring or until further notice. Contact Coach Jeff, U13; Chris Brewer, 8th-12th grade.

Spring Clinic April 19th, 20th, 21st:

The annual spring clinic is again scheduled for the first three days of the April school vacation. Online registration for all three days is available. Sessions run from 9 am to 12 pm each day. As is now the standard, the clinic is open for kids in the U7 thru U14. We will have familiar and guest coaches all three days. Make-up day TBA.

Venue:

Winston Prouty lower field.

Required:

Cleats, shin guards, water, snacks, face mask, and any other safety accessories.

Cost:

$25 for each 3-hour session.

Spring Pick-Up sponsored by

With no travel soccer this spring we will again offer a pickup format similar to that of last fall. We will practice weekly--different days for each team--in the afternoons. The pickup sessions will commence after the April vacation spring clinics and run thru the start of the summer vacation, early June.

The sessions: Practice, skill-building,  Inter-team scrimmages; Possible scrimmages with other Vermont clubs. Register on the website.

Venue/Requirements/Cost:

• Winston Prouty Lower field
•  Players must bring cleats, shin guards, mask, water
• $50.00 for this Spring season 

Age Groups:  U8, U9, U10, U12, U13, U14, and U15

Fall Travel Tryout:

In preparation for the possibility of playing in the Roots League for the fall season, we will hold two sets of tryouts.

• First tryouts for fall travel season, June 12th, 9 AM to 10:30 AM.
• Second tryouts for fall travel season, August 14th, 9 AM to 10:30 AM.
•  A registration page will be set up for both sets of tryouts at www.brattleborostormsoccer.com at a later date.

Green Mountain Tournament:

With no spring travel soccer, we have the opportunity to participate in the 26th running of the Green Mountain Challenge in Weston, VT on the weekend of June 19th & 20th. Teams will be selected based on player interest and must be formed by mid-May.

Summer

Summer Camp:

Annual Summer Camp with Challenger International Soccer is open for registration at www.brattleborostorm.com July 12th - 16th. Check the website link above for the specific offerings and age ranges.   

Summer Pick-Up:

As we strive to make Soccer a year-round Sport, we will continue the spring pick-up sessions, segue into a summer program that will begin right after the completion of the summer Challenger camp and conclude at the beginning of fall season practices. 

Coaches will select the Practice & Scrimmage days.  A Registration Page will also be set up for the Summer Pickup sessions.
